EASTER BASKET IDEAS 2021

I feel like Easter is such a fun joyous holiday that does not get the proper recognition it deserves! To start, there is SO much less pressure on this holiday than Christmas thus making it possibly more enjoyable. Don’t get me wrong I LOVE love Christmas but I think everyone can admit it’s 50% fun and 50% stress (from the present ideas to the coordination of plans to getting it all done – it can be overwhelming). Everyone has their own Easter traditions but essentially if you get in some egg painting and an Easter egg hunt you are winning. Easter is also set in the Spring time and while I love a snowy white Christmas holiday – I really do need some sunshine when April hits. How can you not be happy with birds chirping, sun shining and tulips blooming. Oh and also, all that Easter really asks for is CHOCOLATE – like come on! What could be better that that!

This year we are celebrating Easter with our little one and I have been thinking about her Easter basket for weeks! I honestly didn’t have anything specific in mind but knew I wanted to fill it up with some fun goodies and I started collecting things at the beginning of the year. My husband has also contributed many items since he also cannot stop himself from buying all the things when it comes to this munchkin (including a Simba stuffed animal larger than this Easter basket!) We definitely make spoiling our daughter a team effort around here!

I have been looking for the perfect Easter basket to use for years to come and when I stumbled upon this bunny wicker basket from Indigo Chapters I knew it was the perfect one. Can’t wait to fill it with goodies like the ones below for years to come! Hope you find some fun ideas from the items below:

EASTER BASKET IDEAS

An adorable outfit from Carters picked out by dad – perfect for the summer ahead. Stuffed animal dog bunny (because what child doesn’t have enough stuffed animals bursting from their closet!) and a baby friendly foam book which looks pretty indestructible (both from Dollarama).

Water colouring book from Indigo Chapters – these seem popular and can’t wait to try them. Water = less mess than real markers I hope. Mermaid themed sand shovels from Walmart for the summer and chocolates from Dollarama.

This fairy pillow was on super sale for under $6.00 at Clement and I thought it would be the perfect addition to her room. The Easter book (found at Homesense) is so beautifully illustrated and full of colour – I love having seasonal holiday books that can be rotated throughout the year. Bunny ears were a must and also from the dollar store.

Barnyard animals puzzle and drawing table sheet were fun finds from Dollarama as well – our daughter may be a bit too young for the colouring sheet but I couldn’t resist grabbing it for when she does start to colour more. And last but not least – the star of the show……Simba! I joke because my husband loves the Lion King and couldn’t resist picking up this stuffed animal for our daughter.

Those are all the things we snuck into her Easter basket this year and honestly I could keep going if I didn’t stop myself. Easter basket goodies are just so fun to put together and essentially you can add in whatever you want and it works! Oh and remember to buy some chocolate (or chocolatessss) for yourself because we ALL deserve it! HAPPY EASTER!

  1. Chocolate is always a hit for the Easter basket but what about some salty snacks? Pretzels are always a hit!

    1. Haha yes agree! Pretzels are always good too! I wish they had tiny bags of pretzels you could hide in Easter eggs!
