ST. PATRICK’S DAY POTS OF GOLD

It’s time for another green filled holiday and I have a treat for you! Although St.Patrick’s Day is usually associated with green beer and drinking I prefer to go the opposite route and search for leprechauns hiding their pots of gold (before you ask, no I haven’t started drinking the green beer just yet!). I am referring to wonderful pots of gold filled with chocolate – I mean you cannot go wrong with chocolate right?!

These adorable leprechaun hats filled with chocolate gold coins are a great way to celebrate the holiday and are budget friendly as well. They can be given to your kiddos, neighbours, co-workers, staff, clients etc and you can customize them with a little sign if you wish.

SUPPLIES

To get started you require:
– Green Sparkly Leprechaun Hats (I purchased mine at Party City)
– Green Paper Grass (from Party City or any dollar store)
– Chocolate Coins (from Bulk Barn or dollar store)
– St. Patrick’s Day Confetti (optional – from dollar store)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Fill up hat 3/4th full with green paper grass.
  2. Top with a few gold coins and confetti.
  3. Ready to go!

This project is extremely easy to put together and a great activity for kid’s to participate in. Afterwards if you are still craving something green and refreshing try my Sweet Kiwi Lime Daiquiri I posted about last year – delicious!

What fabulous plans do you have for this St. Patrick’s Day?
