I’m pretty sure everyone is thinking the same thing….how in the world is Easter next weekend already!? Although Easter is technically earlier this year – I do feel like March just started! As much as I love working in events it really speeds up the year and makes time fly way too fast! In my head I am already working on August and September stuff. Just crazy!
Anyways, back to the present! Spring time is here and Easter is around the corner! These items have inspired me to put together this Spring Themed Easter Tablescape. I hope it gives you some ideas for your own setup next week or for another spring day!
This Easter tablescape inspiration actually started last year when I found these adorable carrots at HomeSense. I knew I wanted to use them on a place setting of some sorts. The funny thing is when I started looking for Easter items this year to pair up with them, I quickly found out that 2018 Easter is essentially all about the purples and the pinks and not as much about the bright oranges as you would technically think! It took me awhile to find exact items I wanted but I refused to give up as these carrots were too adorable not to use. In the end I settled on a nice spring green and bright orange combo which really got me in the mood for Easter!
Now another important detail are these plates I used. How absolutely gorgeous are they?! They are from IKEA and are called ARV. The soft ruffled edge just screamed Easter to me and I knew I wanted to incorporate them somehow. Oh and they come in grey too! Just fyi!
I couldn’t resist getting some pistachio macaroons to add some additional green to the table. They are my favourite treat (if you are ever in Paris you obviously must visit here!) and provide a fun pop of colour! These are from Sobeys if you are curious and quite delicious! Also how stinkin adorable are these little bunnies – essentially the most perfect small cake stand there is!
JMS TIP – If your dishes and settings are white, use food (and flowers) as your main pops of colour to change around the tablescape. This way you can re-purpose your dishes for various events but the tablescapes will all look different!
