NACHO SALSA DIP

The countdown to the Superbowl is officially on and I have the perfect salsa dip for you! This multi-layer dip makes an appearance at most of our special occasions and is always a crowd favourite. The recipe actually came from my best friend Tanja and it was too good not to share! We have both modified it many times to include various ingredients we love (see below for options) and it keeps getting better each time!

I specifically love this salsa dip because it is super easy to make and can also be made ahead of time (my favourite thing when it comes to entertaining prep). Then just takes minutes to put together as guests are coming in – voila!

Another reason why I love entertaining with this dip is that it pairs really well with other items on the table. Personally I love to make a spread consisting of a variety of items to snack on all night long. This dip blends well with all those other items! You can also accompany it with nacho chips, naan bread, veggies, crackers or whatever else you feel like buying/finding in your cupboard.

Did I mention this will work perfectly for your Super Bowl party this weekend? Trust me!

JMS TIP: This dip is very flexible if you would like to switch out an item because it’s not your favourite:

  • Dont like spinach – do lettuce instead!
  • Want to keep it lighter – substitute greek yogurt for sour cream.
  • Love veggies – add in chopped up peppers or tomatoes!
  • Customize the salsa – I love it mild and chunky but you can spice it up if you prefer
  • Taco seasoning – this can be purchased from the store or made from scratch. What’s Gaby Cooking has a homemade one posted HERE – I’ve never tried it but when has Gaby ever steered us wrong??

As I mentioned above this dip is perfect to prepare the night before and I have provided some more information on this in the instructions below.

What appetizers are you serving this Super Bowl Sunday?
