HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY!
With International Women’s Day being today I knew exactly the post I wanted to write! There are SO many amazing kick-ass women in the party/entertaining industry that I wanted to dedicate a post specifically to them. The women below are incredibly talented and beyond creative! They share their ideas as well as snippets of their lives which is always fun to follow. Most days I can’t wait until I have a moment to jump on Instagram to check out what they are preparing or what is going on with their days. Some of these women have literally shaped me in ways they will never know because it was them that encouraged me to finally take the plunge and just do it! Without the constant inspiration from their ideas over the years I would have given up on this creative dream and not given it another thought.
Without further ado please let me introduce the girl squad:
1. Courtney Whitmore from PIZZAZZERIE

Courtney has been someone that I started following years and years ago! She originally popped into my email box from the Martha Stewart series “Dreamers into Doers” (does anyone remember that!?) and I literally still have the email from 2010! I have watched her grow Pizzazzerie into an amazing entertaining website that has the most beautiful pictures and inspiring ideas you could ever need! She is always quick to answer when you send her a question and continues to spread her knowledge on the entertaining industry. Also her daughter is the most adorable thing ever (hands down) and watching her play mini hostess on Blakely’s Tables is beyond precious! Her dog isn’t horrible either! Ha! Do yourself a favour and lose yourself for an hour on the Pizzazzerie website – you will not regret it!
2. Jessica Merchant from HOW SWEET EATS

Jessica just has a way with food – everything that she makes looks amazing! If you are ever looking for a recipe (especially fun cocktails) How Sweet Eats is the place to visit! Not only are her pictures gorgeous and recipes delicious, her website is filled with things she’s loving and other amazing people around the web. I love seeing what she’s working on next and getting sneak peeks of her adorable kids. Even if you do not enjoy cooking – you must check out these yummy gems!
3. Camille Styles from CAMILLE STYLES

Camille is another entertaining master mind that I have been following since 2011. She was also part of the OG “Dreamers into Doers” Martha Stewart crew. Her entertaining style has evolved over the last few years and I absolutely love love love her relaxed entertaining ways. I get inspired by her team daily and want to do all things they talk about! So many of her posts feature her beautiful house/backyard in Austin (which gives me house envy galore!) and she recently moved into the CS Bungalow with her team which has been so much fun to follow along. Camille and her team always throw the most gorgeous parties but make them seem effortless and like anyone can take on the challenge. Not only does she features various entertaining creations but she also lets you get a glimpse of inspiring hostesses from around the globe as they share their party secrets – it’s a definite must read! Also be warned you may develop a girl crush!
4. Gaby Dalkin from WHAT’S GABY COOKING

If you are not following Gaby you are missing out! From her Snapchat recipes to her Instagram lives – this lady is filled with brilliant ideas…and delicious food! Her cheese boards are what entertaining dreams are literally made of and I strive to get to her level one day! Her pasta recipes are a favourite of mine for a crowd and if I want to make anything with avocado I know she will have a recipe for it. Watching her stories is always fun and when I need a break from the entertaining world, her travels recaps get me excited for my next trip! Oh and make sure you check our her Dad’s Kitchen Sink Cookies!
5. Kim Stoegbauer from THE TOMKAT STUDIO

Kim has been an entertaining inspiration for years! Her party setups and entertaining ideas are ridiculously amazing and fun- ie. corn on the cob ?! OR mimosa anyone? She used to run the most amazing party shop that had the greatest party supplies and colour which I miss but she makes up for it with her amazing party posts! I love seeing her collaborations with brands and the creative things she comes up with. Also I’m stealing her ridiculously gorgeous house style – she’s constantly renovating houses and I am in love!
I hope you enjoyed learning about a few amazing women out there! There are SO many others that I was not able to feature in the entertaining world and beyond (including my mom, sister and so many girl friends)! Make sure to wish your girl squad a Happy International Women’s Day!!! Also – although this day is all about the ladies I do have to give a shout out to my husband Patryk, and all the wonderful men that support us! He started celebrating International Women’s Day our first year of dating (many many ages ago) to my complete surprise and has never stopped!
