HALLOWEEN TREAT BAGS: KIDS EDITION

Do you have some special kiddos in your life that you want to spoil with these Halloween Treat Bags? Even though Halloween is on Wednesday (how did that happen?!), these treats can be assembled in a few minutes and just require one quick trip to the dollar store! Although candy and chocolate are amazing (obviously) – I like to jazz up the treats even more!

I’ve created a quick and easy craft that will elevate your Halloween game to the next level! Surprise your kids (or coworkers – depending on what you put in them!) with some extra fun Halloween goodies. This is also a great activity to do with your kiddos – they can help put together these treats for their friends and family members.

Items needed (most can be found at the local dollar store:

  • Clear cellophane bags (or with Halloween prints – even more fun!)
  • Shredded bag filler (can be colourful grass or crinkled paper like above)
  • Twine
  • 1 Page of Halloween stickers (1 large sheet can do approx. 8 bags)
  • Halloween confetti
  • Spider webs with spiders (comes in a 12 pack and has individual bags inside)
  • Marker Stamps
  • CANDY!

Instructions:

1. Fill the bags with your choice of filling to about 3 inches full.

2. Cut the Halloween sticker papers into squares  – evenly measured for how many bags you need. Place sticker into the bag – sticker side out.

3. Add in the candy, spiders, markers and any other items you want to put in.

4. Sprinkle in the confetti all over!

5. Tie with twine and they are ready to give out to the kiddos!

The best part about these is you can mix and match whatever items you like – the more creative the better! Some additional ideas are:

  • Individual mini playdoughs
  • Mini colouring books
  • Bouncy balls
  • Keychains
  • Stamps
  • Temporary tattoos
  • Gift cards
  • and so much more!
