ENTERTAINING BUCKET LIST: CHRISTMAS EDITION

This Entertaining Bucketlist is one of my favourites to write because I absolutely love Christmas! I am definitely the person to start celebrating November 1st and truly enjoy every aspect of the holiday. From the twinkling lights to the upbeat Christmas songs – how can you NOT be in a good mood! Christmas is my favourite holiday hands down and I cannot wait to start celebrating and decorating. I am a little behind in my decorating because we have been in the middle of a move but I cannot wait to get started on the house and tree soon!

If you are new here, I created the seasonal Entertaining Bucket List because every season throughout the year brings on new adventures and fun activities to be tackled. I love me a good bucket list and I have seen so many pop up on Pinterest lately. They are pretty much all encompassing which is great but I wanted to create a special one for entertaining specifically. Most of the items I want to do each month involve friends, family and food so it’s a perfect fit! You can do the below on your own but having people over to enjoy the activities makes it that more special.

Whether you add these items to your main bucket list for Christmas or keep them separate – they are sure to be a lot of fun for all!

1) Mmmm chocolateee goodness! – What could be better during this winter weather than gathering around a cup of hot chocolate with your favourite toppings? I love an epic “do it yourself” bar and a hot chocolate one will not disappoint! JMS post coming soon with all the inspiration!

2) I’ll have just one more – Things you say to yourself when looking at the platter of cookies you have just collected. Break up the work Christmas blues by organizing a cookie exchange with your coworkers (or friends). Throw on a Christmas movie while you make cookies and get into the Christmas cheer and then scream in delight when you have 10 different kinds of cookies to choose from.

3) “Brown paper packages tied up with strings…These are a few of my favourite things” – Spending time with friends while being productive and knocking things off your Christmas to do list? This is a win-win folks! Have everyone bring over their leftover rolls of wrapping paper or supply the products yourself for the group and get wrapping!

JMS TIP – Plan ahead for next year – wrapping goods go on crazy sales after Christmas is done which is the perfect time to pick up some products for next years party. It will cost you a fraction of the price now!

4) Bah Humbug! – What could sound better than cuddling up in blankets watching Christmas movies all evening with friends? Enough said. Oh and order in pizza – nobody got time for cooking all of December!

5) Candy filled goodness – what better way to make the kiddos smile is to let them enjoy a plethura of candy! Wait…wait…that doesn’t sound quite right. Ahh they get to use the candy to decorate their cute gingerbread houses. Such a fun activity which is sure to make the kiddos smile!
