This new Spring weather has me counting down the days until we can be sipping drinks on the patio…and I say “new” weather since we just had a freak ice storm last weekend! Crossing my fingers that this 15 degree Celsius weather stays with us and takes us right into summer.
As we are heading into Spring finalllly, I thought I would share some amazing cocktails that really get me in the mood to open my windows and enjoy the nice breeze. It’s been a while since I shared some amazing things from other entertainers and I can’t wait for you to check out the below!
1. ROSÈ HIBISCUS MIMOSAS from HOW SWEET EATS

Now these are calling my name for the next brunch I host or even for Mother’s Day. They contain tea so I am officially stating they are more healthy than not (please don’t tell your doctor I said so!). The colour from the hibiscus leaves is amazing and you never have to ask me about anything containing rosè – I always say yes!
2. LAVENDER MINT JULEPS from PIZZAZZERIE

The Kentucky Derby is not something we really know about in Canada but every Spring time I see so many wonderful parties, drinks and food surrounding it that I am now always reminded of Spring every year when I see it. Aside from rosè being one of my fav drink choices – lavender and mint are absolutely some of my favourite items ever. There is a lavender farm near our house and I can’t wait to go again this summer, lavender gelato is my go to and I cannot get enough of my lavender essential oils. Mint on the other hand I literally just eat straight from the bunch because I love it so much! My dad usually grows so much over the summer which is amazing to have – especially for all those mojitos I love making! Overall when the Derby rolls around, you have a julep and enjoy Spring!
3. CRANBERRY-BLOOD ORANGE SPRITZ from MARTHA STEWART

Blood orange is so amazing I can’t even talk about it! If you haven’t tried the actual fruit or just a fizzy drink somewhere – I highly suggest it! Tropical fruits remind me of the summer time but citrusy fruits remind me of Spring as to me they represent energy and awakening which I always feel around Spring time. As the weather turns warmer and windows start to open at home, you being to feel more refreshed and awake from the winter slumber. This drink will be prefect for that awakening!
4. GRAPEFRUIT MOJITO from THE FOOD NETWORK

Again the citrus in the drink just scream refreshing to me and I think I could be best friends with the creator – 20 mint leaves! Yes please! Sometimes a simple mojito is the best thing out there!
For me, Spring is represented in the bright colours starting to surround us once flowers start to grow which these cocktails definitely signify that. I am so excited to start enjoying the warmer weather and hope to have one of these in my hand very soon! I hope you are inspired to make your own from these talented gals above!
