I can’t believe we are officially in April and Easter is truly around the corner! If you are still searching for some gift ideas I’ve rounded up 50 ideas (with links) to hopefully inspire you. Easter Baskets should be fun and do not need to be super fancy or expensive. I focus on things I know my child needs (and I will probably be replacing shortly like clothes, markers, snacks etc) and some activities to help entertain them on those busy days. I’ve rounded up a few categories below of our favourites!

ARTS & CRAFTS
- Markers – I feel like markers are constantly drying up and a new batch always encourages kids to draw more. We love these from Ikea and they have a ton of colours.
- Paint Sticks – these glide so well and dry quickly to avoid smudges.
- Colouring Roll – this one from Ikea is beautifully drawn and fun to colour in. I love laying it on the floor for playdates. They come out with a new one every few months and I always make sure to grab one or 3.
- Stampers – these bring back fun childhood memories – does anyone else remember these?
- Gel Animals – kids will love making their own squishy animals. Perfect activity for a rainy Spring afternoon.
- 100+ Science Experiments – these are so much fun and really provide hours of entertainment. You can use the kit many times and it come with a great instruction booklet.
- Rock Painting Kit – these are great for kids to paint and add to the garden this spring!
- Paint with Water Books – love taking these for travel, restaurants, or anytime we need an activity. All you need is water (the paintbrush is included).
- Easter Sticker Activity Book – kids love dressing the characters and adding stickers into the Easter scenery. Also another great one for travel or restaurant busyness.
- Stamp Set – we love this set to make our own picture scenes like a zoo, jungle etc and use the stamps to decorate it.

CLOTHING & ACCESSORIES
- Umbrella – Spring Showers bring May Flowers! Also why do kids umbrellas look like they have survived the war after only a year or two – always nice to upgrade for Spring.
- Rain Boots – these ones have handles for adorable tiny hands to grab!
- Waterproof Rainsuit – this rain suit is two pieces, waterproof and doubles as a Spring jacket if needed.
- Spring Jacket – this purple daisy jacket is perfect for Spring and has a hood for when you get caught in the rain.
- Underwear – always need a new pair or a dozen!
- PJ’s – these Easter ones are too adorable and made from organic cotton – they look so comfy!
- Swim Suit – with summer around the corner this is the perfect addition to the Easter basket. This full coverage one is great for long sunny pool/beach days.
- Sunglasses – another summer item that always needs replacing.
- Hat – this adorable bucket hat is great to shield from the sun and come in a variety of colours.
- Shoes – these are perfect for the summer to run around in. Easy to clean and they can get wet with no issues!

GAMES & BOOKS
- Card Games – this one is a huge hit for families!
- Crocodile Dentist – if you haven’t played this game yet I apologize now for the additional stress! You can also buy mini crocs at Walmart and they are great to keep in the car to play with.
- Lite-Brite Ultimate Classic – kids all ages really love this and you can buy refills for additional pages.
- Operation – this is a twist on the classic game and comes with it’s own carrying case. So much fun and you can play together as a family.
- Spot It – this one is a family fav, great for travel and comes in a variety of different themes.
- The Great Eggscape! – this book is an adorable Easter read. It’s on our nightly bedtime rotation.
- The Berenstain Bears and the Real Easter Eggs – a classic with stickers included!
- Pete the Cat: Big Easter Adventure – a fun read that includes Easter cards, stickers and a poster. We love the seasonal Pete the Cat books.
- How to Catch the Easter Bunny – the title says it all!
- Never Touch the Easter Chicks – these books are so fun for sensory loving kiddos.

SUMMER & OUTDOOR TOYS
- Chalk – great quality and the pack has 24 different colours. Having a driveway filled with chalk drawings is one of my fav things.
- Bubbles – these are great because they are spill proof so kids can run around without the worry that you have just wasted $5!
- Slip and Slide – this has been a huge hit in our backyard and is holding up well so far.
- Playdough – although not technically an outdoor toy it’s always less messy when played outside. We were gifted this one and love it.
- Sand Toys – this set has everything you need for a beach day.
- Jump Rope – this one has great reviews!
- Water Balloons – Costco always has the best price for these. They have a bit of cleanup involved but the kids love them. Our rule is you don’t get the next batch until you clean up the first one which helps the cleanup significantly. The kids love it!
- Kid Explorer Kit – I stumbled upon this while doing my Easter basket research and thought it was the cutest thing ever. It includes a bug net, safari vest & hat, binoculars, bug catcher, bug book and much more!
- Gardening Gloves & Tools – this set has everything you need for a future green thumb gardener.
- Seed Kit – this kit has a planter that kids can decorate and a variety of seeds to plant.
