Welcome back to another edition of JMS Hearts! I feel like it’s been forever since I checked out things in store and online – I think everyone becomes a bit of a hermit crab after the Christmas holidays. After all that shopping (and spending!) I feel like I just don’t want to buy anything ever again. That feeling, of course, passes (ha!) and as the adorable pink and red hearts appear on the scene for Valentine’s Day I became infatuated with all the new pretty offerings. Baby showers are a great way to get friends and family together to celebrate mom to be! This is such a special time in the families life and people love getting together to celebrate the occasion. If you have ever put together a baby shower (or bridal shower etc.) you know exactly how much work goes into planning and executing the event. After spending hours on the decorations and food, the last thing you need to worry about is if people will interact with each other or if the room will be silent!
Having a few party games is always helpful in breaking that silent lul that can happen when the crowd is filled with random strangers! I always like to have a few games on hand to use when the room needs a pick me up! Hosting events like these can be a little difficult because various groups of people need to mingle together and stay entertained.

I can’t believe how fast the summer is flying by! I feel like I say this every day but it truly feels that way. Although I do find it going quickly, I have been taking the time to enjoy it which has been my goal this summer. We have had the opportunity to go to the cottage a few times with friends and spend weekends on patios and I have been enjoying every minute of it!
One good thing about the summer coming to an end is that all the stores are having amazing summer sales! This is the time to truly buy things if you need to update your entertaining supplies or just want to add something new without paying full price! There are so many cute things available it is very hard to select only 5 items!

As I’ve mentioned before, party decor is one of my favourite things about hosting (aside from the food of course!) and balloons seem to be the universal sign of “party“! In my opinion the more…the better!! These days there are SO many different fun options to choose from that they can compliment any theme you go with. Have you seen those amazing balloon arches people make? – that is definitely a future goal post of mine on here!
Some of my favourite balloons lately have been ones filled with confetti. They are so fun and playful and can be customized to any colour you are working with! Thankfully they can be created in a few easy steps I’ve listed below!
