Summer is all about easy living and my goal is to bring you simple, quick recipes throughout the season. I know I do not want to spend the time in front of a stove all day and I doubt you do as well.
This recipe below falls under the category of “simple to do but looks impressive” and is sure to wow at your next bbq or potluck gathering! I made them for my brother-in-laws birthday and everyone loved them!
Every different season in the year brings on new adventures and fun activities to be tackled. I love me a good bucket list and I have seen so many pop up on Pinterest lately. They are pretty much all encompassing which is great but I wanted to create a special one for entertaining specifically. Most of the items I want to do each month involve friends, family and food so it’s a perfect fit! You can do the below on your own but having people over to enjoy the activities makes it that more special.
Whether you add these items to your main bucket list for the summer or keep them separate – they are sure to be a lot of fun for all!
As I’ve mentioned before, party decor is one of my favourite things about hosting (aside from the food of course!) and balloons seem to be the universal sign of “party“! In my opinion the more…the better!! These days there are SO many different fun options to choose from that they can compliment any theme you go with. Have you seen those amazing balloon arches people make? – that is definitely a future goal post of mine on here!
Some of my favourite balloons lately have been ones filled with confetti. They are so fun and playful and can be customized to any colour you are working with! Thankfully they can be created in a few easy steps I’ve listed below!
As the evenings start to get cooler I can feel Fall (my favourite season) is right around the corner. Although I am excited at the prospect of snuggly sweaters – I am not quite ready to give up the summer just yet! We still have a few warm weekends ahead of us and I plan to take full advantage in celebrating the last bit of summer joys starting with a lovely sangria drink this weekend – ahhhhh it already feels relaxing!
My favourite summer tradition is having friends over for a relaxing get together while enjoying some beautiful patio weather (since it doesn’t last that long here in Canada). Having people over gives me the excuse to be a little creative in my meal planning and decor setup. This fun setup is the perfect reason to invite some friends over and enjoy a nice relaxing cocktail while enjoying the last bit of sunshine!
